Called 7:30 am concerning 15 year old water heater leak. Chris (1125) arrived at 1:45 pm, inspected the situation, explained what needed to be done and why and gave me a quote. By 8:30pm the old water heater was out and new one installed with new pipes and new shut off valve. His expertise, professionalism and promptness were great.

I called at 3pm to ask about a jammed garbage disposal, and Roto-Rooter said they could have someone at my apartment between 4:00 and 8:00, which was great. I left work early to await the tech, who didn't actually arrive until 11pm. He was very friendly, and clearly adept. He examined the disposal, and told me there'd be a flat $245 fee to perform the repair. That seemed extremely high, but I agreed, thinking that perhaps it was a more complex repair than I'd hoped (and feeling badly that he'd driven all the way to my house in Falls Church from his previous appointment in Ashburn/Reston). Once I'd signed the paperwork, he manually turned the blades a few times, and the problem disappeared. It was a simple clog; the total fix took well under five minutes of work.

I understand that I was paying an expert for his expertise, not for his time, so the speed of the repair itself doesn't necessarily bother me. But surely there should be SOME relationship between the price and the complexity of the work. Paying $245 for a problem that can be solved with a few turns of an Allen wrench leaves me with a very bad taste in my mouth, and so I'd urge caution to others who are looking for someone to help with what they believe to be a relatively straightforward repair.

Thanksgiving and family is in town - and of course this means toilet problems!
We called at 6am and by 8:30am we had Austin (USMC Veteran and awesome technician) showed up. Austin diagnosed and treated our problem and was out by 10am. Great job and couldn't be happier.

I am writing to let you know of the very positive experience I had with Roto-Rooter. I contacted the company on a Saturday night and they scheduled me for an appointment on Sunday morning -- the very next day! Zakk showed up on time, was courteous and professional, did a great job fixing my plumbing problem, and made sure I was happy before he left. There was no big sales pitch for other services - he did the job I needed him to do and was on his way. I'm now a Roto-Rooter customer for life!

I had a flooding and plumbing problem that had been going on for almost a month. I had already been serviced by three other Plumbing company, who did not solve my problem in its entirety. I had another flooding emergency, in which Virginia American Water personnel advised me to get a sewer cleaning immediately, regarding my issue. I made an appointment with one of the other companies which had serviced my house, however, I canceled that appointment and made an appointment with Roto-Rooter. I thought that a company that had been around for such a long time, had to be good at what they did. Jarmal came out and I told him of my problem. He advised that he would consult with another member, Josh, who could possibly solve my problem. AND HE DID!! I am so happy with the services of Roto-Rooter and thankful for the expertise of Jarmal and Josh. If I encounter any other plumbing problems, Roto-Rooter will definitely be my choice of companies to contact.

A technician came to our house to assess a toilet that was not flushing well. Jon Carucci was a true professional and provided an assessment that we could not get from a contractor. This was our first experience with Roto-Rooter and it set a good first impression of this company.

Had an issue with a kitchen drain - Service was prompt, the technician was knowledgeable and the work was done in a professional manner leaving everything in order and clean. Setting aside the cost of the service, i would welcome Devon and his team member back again.

The technician was friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. He explained the problem and how he would fix it. He let me know the exact cost up front. He got finished in a reasonable amount of time. The only real issue I have is that he said your company would call to schedule a look at the ceiling below to see if there was repair needed and I haven't heard back from you.

We found out that we had a clogged main pipe from our local plumper and recommended calling you guys to help clean up the problem. Our tech Jose (sorry I didn't get his last name) drove all the way from Manass to Fredericksburg to do our job. He was very professional, and very willing to work with us. I was a little worried that with big companies you don't always get people that are willing to answer your questions they are just in and out. Not the case with Jose, he answered any questions we had about the process which made my wife and feel a whole lot better! I hope you have a chance to read this Jose we really appreciated your work!!

Your Roto-Rooter serviceman, Henry Guevara, did an excellent job of clearing a 20-ft long outdoor drain pipe. The drain pipe was buried under a concrete patio, and was totally clogged with clay, sand, and tree roots. Henry was getting very discouraged at one point, but he persisted and finally the claw broke through to the outside world. He wore out the largest claw that was available on the truck and could have used a slightly large one if the manufacturer even makes them that large. Thanks, Henry! Thanks, Roto-Rooter!

The service required was satisfactorily delivered. It's a bit pricey though for a 15-minute work. Hope the company considers a better rate for a quick change of the toilet fill valve and flapper. The mechanism which actually costs $10.90 in amazon was charged for $35 and labor was for $300. Good that I got a $40 coupon which actually surprised the repairman. Hard for not having a man in the house. On top of the cost concern, I had a bad experience with a customer specialist who is immensely discourteous.
