Second visit there, second bad experience.

Went the first time for a new patient exam at around 12 weeks pregnant (I already had my regular OB too). I waited an hour, the lady up front was rude and the other one wouldn't let me see the Dr until my secondary insurance I had just gotten was entered, too. My husband kept asking why I couldn't see the Dr and would ave to be late to be seen if they already had my primary insurance. So I was seen and my main memory of that physical was her poking my abdomen saying I was so 'big.'. I'm like, ummmm....I'm pregnant, I've told you this like the times. In reality, I was bloated like a lot of women get in their first trimester. She didn't get it and said for me to come back in a week, and I had JUST seen my OB a few days before - I told her that, too. So when she was putting in the computer for me to come back, I told her about the experience up front and she did apologize and say she would say something to them. So that seemed genuine and the reason why I decided to give the poffice a second chance.

Second chance: I am now 20weeks pregnant and I got sick - really sick, like I thought horrible, pregnancy-enflamed allergies but couldn't decide if many of my symptoms were sick or pregnancy-induced (I.e. your back and chest are already sore from being uncomfortable). In all fairness, the office did call me back and see me that morning, the second morning I was sick. As I am laying curled up on the bed/table, she bursts into the office (she never knocks and enters slowly), and after taking my symptoms tells me it's probably sinusitis. (A one-liner on why I immediately went to the Dr upon getting sick - it is flu season and although I had my flu shot, a pregnant woman with the flu is dangerous from the fever to the down immune system leading to all sorts of other issues). SO, after her haphazard diagnosis of sinusitis, I asked her for a flu swab test and she said ok. 15 minutes later she bursts back through the door and says I'm positive for the flu! Of course this means I need an ENTIRELY different prescription and I would have been misdiagnosed had I not asked for the flu test. REALLY?!? Ok, I am NOT saying Drs don't make mistakes, but if the risk for me to take the test is super low, and I had already explained to her that I was very worried it was the flu, wouldn't one of the next logical steps be to order the flu test? No, I didn't have ALL the flu symptoms because I hadn't had it long enough to find out - and maybe the flu shot I had previously helped with the symptoms, not sure. All I know is I was pretty upset that I was there for two hours to practically self-diagnose. I kept asking her a lot of questions, like 'should I take Tylenol for the fever?' and 'do I need to come back if my fever spikes again?' with the fever obviously being my biggest concern and she said something to the effect that downplayed if even recognized that the fever was an issue while I am pregnant - Contrary to all the other Google and Dr information. Oh by the way, the nurse who JABBED the flu swab up my nose needs to either be a little more gentle or explain to patients that she has to gauge their brain in order to get a good sample.

I hate to give such a negative review, but to add on to all that, there was no hand sanitizer in the waiting room, and there I am trying to not touch or infect everyone else around me. I usually provide recommendations to my complaints but this time, I think the recommendations are obvious based on my experience description.

I was seen by Dr. Bauer today....

I was seen by Dr. Bauer today. I also found her in my insurance provider's directory. I choose her because of the location. I had the most horrible experience and regret going into her office. I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes to see her. When she arrived in the room she did not introduce herself of even care that I was a new patient. She sat at computer almost the whole visit and ordered test and blood work. She seemed inattentive, rude, unpleasant, occupied, and uncaring.

It seems like she does not like her job. I honestly feel she should not be a doctor if she has no desire to help people or gain new patients.

I will NOT go back to her. I am seeking a new doctor. I also recommend others not to see her. You will also regret it.

Absolutely horrible, I'd rate her 0 if possible

Came to this doctor after finding her in my ins provider directory. I don't mind sharing that my chief complaint for the visit was the lack of circulation in my legs which I was scared would lead to DVT. I work at a podiatrist's office, which requires a lot of squatting and bending to assist our patients. I was looking for a vascular referral to ease my anxiety about it.

Dr. Bauer walked in and seemed disorientated, she asked didn't fully grasp the concept of a vascular doctor, asking me why I would need to bend down at work....UH REALLY? I guess I am used to more of a professional atmosphere where I work, because she seemed very arrogant. Her bedside-manner is definitely something she needs to work on. She wasn't listening as I as explaining the issue, halfway through the appt I was frustrated with dealing with her..what's the point of going to these doctors if they treat you like a substandard human being?

To knock the nail in the coffin even deeper, I received my statement and she billed me the most expensive level office visit (fine, that's her prerogative.) but for a 5 min visit? 3 of those minutes she was drifting off, trying hard not to roll her eyes. Her office staff had put in my insurance as ANTHEM, after I EXPLAINED repeatedly that it was CF Blue Choice. I was billed an out of network visit because of their incompetency. Only cleared it up after I HAD TO TALK TO MY INSURANCE, they then said OH WE'LL TAKE CARE OF IT...

IN SHORT: office front staff is incompetent, and the doctor herself doesn't care. SAVE YOUR CO PAY.
