He's a scam and will take your money and not complete the job or the completed work will be so shabby that it will be like you just gave your hard earned money away. He is also a liar. He will not hold up to his word, will not return phone calls and will not show up when he says he will. You will have more "no shows" when working with this man. He is a scam artist and don't give a dime until the work is completed.

Roof and floor has not been fixed since the contract was signed on July 3rd. He has only placed some cheap tarp on the roof that blows when the wind blows. He is a scam and will give you sad stories about his family, don't believe him. He a liar!

I did not have the same problem “Baseball Fan” from Yahoo had in his review with scheduling meetings although it would have saved me money and years of effort and work.
I had worked with Mr. Ron Davenport to get quotes for replacing the roof on my parents’ house and was helping my parents finance the project because my Dad, a retired Marine, was dealing with cancer. The project included what I would call standard re-roofing job for a majority of the roof. The job also included repairing/replacing the roof over the carport which was a poorly constructed pitched roof on top of the original flat tar roof. Mr. Davenport was asked to make sure the quote included removal of an old chimney, pulling of any required permits and to insure all state and local codes were met.
To make a long story short, several months of working with legal counsel was required to get Davenport Exteriors to come out and re-due the job that his company had failed to do correctly the first time. This was after trying for months to get the work corrected directly with Mr. Davenport.
A BBB complaint was not filed because legal action was taken. The BBB does not accept complaints if legal action is taken/filed, so this one and any others would not be reflected in the BBB.
I would not recommend any services from Mr. Ron Davenport or Davenport Exteriors located in Winterville, NC based on my personal and direct relation with him and his company.

The review written by the son of homeowners that we installed shingles is not accurate. We were ask to correct a roof that was installed by another contractor because it didn't have enough pitch on it and was leaking badly and damaging anything stored in the carport. My company built up the roof line to the same pitch as the original home by reinforcing the band and installing rafters next to the old ones which is what the homeowners agreed to have done. The son had a problem with the fact that we did not remove all of the existing roof system and start from scratch however we followed the instructions of the homeowner who did not wish to invest the amount of money to completely dismantle the existing roof section. The project was delayed because the son. The building inspector approved our construction process and the job was completed to the homeowners satisfaction. We have an A + rating with the BBB.
