THE WORST DOCTOR! This doctor has ZERO bedside manners! All he wants to take is your money & doesn’t care about any of your concerns. I went in & had a lot of issues with my foot due to a previous surgery. I wanted to talk to someone that would actually listen but I was dead wrong! He was super dismissive when I tried to give him a history of the situation he just cut me off & didn’t want to hear it. I asked him if there was a possibility of fixing a staple left in my foot and a bunion that was created from my original surgery and he didn’t want to hear about it nor did he offer any solution, he ignored my concerns! Now, I want my refund, for the only solution he cared to give which was insoles that cost $360.00! He was very quick to take the money but when I called to cancel that the next day the very nice receptionist, Lindsay, said she would relay the message & get me the info I needed for my refund and would call me back the next day. That didn’t happened but when I called back on Friday the office was closed! She did call me back today and stated that she did relay the message but he never answered her yet but why would he, he already has the money & of course he would delay the process to not have to issue a refund, which is the only thing he cares about! I did go to a new doctor on Thursday which was a God send, she’s amazing & the difference was like heaven and hell! We requested my X-rays done on Tuesday with this horrible doctor & they have yet to send my records over! So not only is he not refunding me for something that he lied it was sent out(I was there at 4 pm on Thursday, they closed at 5pm and the next day I called the office was “closed” so there’s no way it was sent out!)but he’s not sending my records to my new doctor so I can finally get real help that he’s incapable of providing. Please don’t do it to yourself, find a real doctor that is concerned with your well-being & not just the money like this doctor is. I never want to see him in my life!

I had bunion surgery July 2014. As a teacher and grandmother (2 due in 2015) I am constantly on the go. I'm on my feet 15 hours a day & physically active. Dr. Lewis' bedside manner, compassion & expertise is awesome! I immediately scheduled to have the other foot done next month. I have referred numerous friends to Dr. Lewis.

In March of 2013, I started to get the pain from PLANTAR FASCIITIS in my left foot. in 2010 I had the same thing on my right foot. Three injections from a podiatrist did nothing for me, and I hobbled my way to healing in 18 months. So, I suffered it out this time, even though it was more acute. I tried massage, chiropractic intervention, some electric stimulation stuff, even acupuncture, but got no lasting relief. My hobbling was so bad and painful, I struggled to grocery shop. At my family's insistence I went to see Dr. Gideon Lewis and of-course, I refused the injections. BIG MISTAKE!



One thing that had struck me on my first visit, was that he was very modest and gentle but also confident about himself. His front office and the other staff were also super nice and extremely helpful. So I went back to him thinking I will get custom inserts. However, having suffered some more months, in October of 2013, I relented and took two injections a week apart. BIG DIFFERENCE!



Now I am pretty much pain free, just like that. I've got my life back. I used to struggle with walking even in between rooms in the house, my Plantar Fasciitis was so bad. By prolonging the hobbling and the limping, I messed up my ankles, knees and hips. BIG TIME! Dr. Gideon Lewis gave me a referral for Physio therapy, and that has helped me further. I'm able to walk (yes!) and stand for much longer. Sometimes you do need a Podiatrist. When that is not enough, you need Dr. Gideon Lewis.

I stand on my feet for 8 hours a day. I have never experience foot pain and never knew how bad it felt. I made an appointment with Dr. Lewis about this situation. After my first visit to Dr. Lewis my foot began to feel 75% better. His office had a very professional feel and it was nice and neat, I didn't even have to wait long!

I was diagnosed with "Plantar Fasciitis" with the proper medication and clear care instructions, my foot has continue to feel a lot better. Although I'm not at 100%, I now know that when you stand as long as I do, you have to protect your feet with the proper shoes or special insoles to help support you back and legs also! I would reccommend all my friends to Dr. Lewis. Now that I have knowledge, I will help someone else. If you need a good pair of shoes or just want to try insoles, try Ascis and Spenco (Recommend by Dr. Lewis)! Good Luck

Having been a runner and biker for many years and having had more than my share of foot and ankle problems, I have relief.

Dr. Lewis preformed surgery that I'm not sure he wanted to do because of my age (71) but it went well and though I do not want to run anymore I can still participate in what I like the best and that's biking.

The recoup was no walk in the park but after eight months it is now behind me. Dr. Lewis was the first doctor (and there were many) properly diagnose my problem. I doubt anyone could find a more qualified doctor anywhere. I can not express enough praise to him.

I had bunion surgery in January on my left foot. Dr. Lewis did an amazing job and, as he promised, the recovery was quick and relatively pain free. . . n.o crutches, just a boot! Dr. Lewis is caring, passionate, very effective and knowledgeable. His attention and personal care are very rare in the medical community. I could not be happier with his care!

I was referred to Dr. Lewis by a family member in November of 2012. I had been dealing with very painful bunions on both feet for quite some time. The pain was really beginning to prevent me from being as active as I like. I was hopeful surgery would alleviate my foot pain and allow me to continue living a very active lifestyle. I needed to have both feet operated on by the end of the year. Dr. Lewis scheduled my surgeries right away and let me know exactly what to expect. My first surgery was for my left foot and was scheduled for the end of November. Exactly one month later I had my right foot surgery at the end of December. Both surgeries went very well and were a complete success. In a very short time I was back on my feet doing all the things I love to do plus a whole lot more! Now I'm able to enjoy going to the gym, swimming, hiking, etc. without having to worry about any pain caused by my feet! The pain is gone! I'm pretty tough when it comes to pain, so I wasn't too worried about the surgeries, but I was pretty nervous about the recovery time and process. Dr. Lewis walked me through the entire process and made the experience a pleasant one. I am confident he is the best in his field. He also genuinely cares about his patients and you can tell he is very passionate about their well being. You should not hesitate to put your faith in Dr. Lewis. I'm so thankful that I did. Being a runner, I have experienced my share of foot injuries. With each one I have gone to see Dr. Lewis. And with each visit I was treated with not only professionalism by him and his entire staff, but with compassion. Many doctors do not understand the mindset of a runner. Why do we do what we do to our bodies? Our feet? But Dr. Lewis "gets us." He understands that despite stress fractures, tears, strains, neuroma's, we still want to be out there no matter what. So, he gladly fixes us all up and then sends us on our way with a smile. I have personally had to see Dr. Lewis for several injuries, one even led to surgery. After my surgery, I was back out hitting the pavement in 3 weeks. He is an amazing doctor and an amazing human being. He is kind and generous. I told him recently, "I feel amazing from the ankles down...anyway you can treat me from the ankles up?"

Dr. Lewis is one of the best podiatrist you can find. Dr. Lewis actually had to send me to a neurologist. Dr. Lewis spent time with me and was extremely caring and concerned to get me properly diagnosed. There are not many doctors who are so compassionate and listen. His staff is also wonderful. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Lewis is an excellent doctor. He is very caring and spends a lot of time with his patients. He was very thorough while going over treatment plans for my condition. He made sure I was very comfortable with the procedure he was going to preform. His staff was very polite and informative. I was very pleased with the service I was provided.

I am a 60 year old female, who for years, suffered with aching bunions on both feet. My left foot was just a bit worse than my right foot. I am in law in law enforcement as a career, which means I am on my feet a lot. Putting on shoes often times proved to be painful, especially on my left foot. A co-worker recommended Dr. J. I'm a 26 year old woman that has been riding horses since I was 10. I always had constant burning and intense pain in both my heels and arches while riding, jogging, and after standing for long periods. The symptoms subsided for a few years until they returned more acutely last summer. I was referred to Dr. Lewis by Florida Hospital's CentraCare doctors. I am so glad they recommended him! Dr. Lewis is approachable and very knowledgable.



He determined that I had plantar fasciitis and an entrapped nerve in both my feet. I chose to have the surgery in the left foot first. Dr. Lewis released both the plantar fascia and the entrapped nerve. Six months later he did the same procedure in my right foot. While I am currently recovering from the second foot surgery, I can confidently say that while riding between surgeries, my right foot has never felt better! I highly recommend Dr. Lewis and his staff. You won't find a more caring and knowledge team in central Florida!

I heard from many people that Dr. Lewis was the top sports medicine foot and ankle physician in Central Florida. After visiting with a few large orthopaedic groups with unsuccessful results, I decided to try him out. Not only did he quickly diagnose me, he treated me very efficiently and helped me return to all activities pain-free. Dr. Lewis has a very pleasant demeanor and treated me as an individual, not just a number (like the ortho groups). It's a no brained, if you have any foot or ankle issues, go see Dr. Lewis as your 1st choice. He's simply the BEST!!

When the VA clinic told me that I should have had foot surgery yesterday and by the way, there is a year waiting list, I decided to look for a doctor that was familiar with my type of problem. After searching the internet, I only found one doctor that described the problem with my big toe, and that was Dr. Gideon Lewis. I was very hesitant about having any kind of foot surgery. All I heard were horror stories from several people that had foot surgery. During my first visit with Dr. Lewis, he put my mind at ease by explaining in detail what my problem was. Being close to 70 years old and retired, Dr. Lewis proposed a couple of options. I chose joint replacement surgery in my big toe. As of now, I am on target and without pain. Many people asked if I would do it again, me reply to them was yes without hesitation. The professional office staff was very helpful at all times and answered any questions I had. I will not hesitate to refer all of my friends to Dr. Gideon Lewis.

Dr. Lewis makes quality care top priority for his patients. I was fortunate enough to have been one of his patients who received quality care. He was recommended to me by a family friend and I am extremely pleased with the outcome of major surgery on my foot. I consider Dr. Lewis to be very knowledgeable in his field of medicine and in my opinion he is an excellent surgeon. His diagnosis of what needed to be done to my foot was immediate and accurate. The office staff has been professional in their dealings with me and my overall experience concerning my medical condition has been positive!!

While most people seem to improve their pain from Plantar Faciitis thru therapy, in my case, it didn't work.

After discussion with Dr. Lewis, surgery to correct the problem, was determined to be the best solution. The procedure and follow-up went well and I no longer suffer the pain I endured for over 8 months. Throughout the process all of my questions were answered by both Dr. Lewis and his staff.

I could not imagine entering my retirement years without the ability to walk without pain and have to curtail any activity I might wish to take part in.

I became a patient of Dr. Gideon J. Lewis in September of 2009 when I hurt my ankle. I was referred to Dr. Lewis' office from the Florida Hospital Walk in Clinic. My experience has been nothing short of professional, courteous along with his outstanding bedside manner. I had my ankle operated on due to injuring my tendons and ligaments in my left ankle. He did an amazing job on my ankle and set up my physical therapy at RDV recovery and PT. His concern with recovery was very important. I have referred 3 people to Dr. Lewis due to foot problems and they have also received the up most excellence experience as I did. I will be 80 years old in a few months and have had Diabetes since 1979. A few years ago I developed neuropathy in my legs and moths later discovered an ulcer on my right foot on the Achilles tendon. After a few moths of treatment at a local wound center it still didn't heal, it grew worse and the tendon became severely damaged. That is how I ended up in Orlando's Florida Hospital and how Dr. Lewis entered my life! His expertise in treating this wound saved my foot. I have made many visits to his office after being discharged from the hospital and his nurses and staff have been nothing but kind and helpful to me. I consider Dr. Gideon J.
