        Horrific Service

        On 1/27/08 we tried to eat at the Base Camp Bakery. We waited for a table by the front door for 30 minutes (very patiently). When a bar top table came open, it was offered to us. We declined because our three year old was unable to sit on the bar stools. We asked at that time to have the first open booth. Apparently, this angered the waitress. We waited 15 more minutes while the waitress cleaned three tables and never acknowledged that we existed. We assumed she was just busy and decided to go sit at a table. Things got really ugly after we sat down. None of the help would even look at us. Finally, a different waitress came out and VERY rudely told us that they didn't even know we were there because we were supposed to wait to be seated. We left immediately.

        Don't waste your time here. This totally ruined our morning. We ended up at Sharky's in Fraser instead. They couldn't have been nicer

        We are a staple in winter park and known for OUR bakery items. Bagels and great biscuits and gravy. We have outdoor seating. Weather permitting. There MAY BE a line but the food is worth the wait. Come start your DAY OFF right with bagels and pastries made from scratch every morning and Coffee that is 100% organic fair trade.
