Pro Nails

It took 2.5 hours to get a basic pedicure and gel manicure. The pedicure was good, but slow. The issues are with their approach to removing gel polish and preparing the nail for a new gel manicure. Rather than the industry standard of using a bit of cotton with either a foil wrap or a clip, this salon insisted on having me dip my hands into a bowl of acetone! For over 30 minutes! I finally told the girl that I had to take my hands out - my skin was hurting, the fumes were awful, and it wasn't doing anything to the polish. That was Friday, 1/3, and now, 1/9, my skin is finally showing signs of healing. The other approach they used, that was completely unacceptable, was using a grinder on my natural nail rather than a file or buffing tool. While she gave me a good shape and did a good job with the polish, it wasn't enough to make up for everything else that was wrong. Won't go back.
