Long John Silver's

Haven't been to Long John Silvers in probably 10 years. I'm not a fish eater but hubby is. Last time I ate here both the chicken and french fries tasted like fish - I"m guessing they used the same oil. Got a coupon in the mail for a family meal recently and decided to give it a try again because it is only 2 blocks away. Eww....wish we hadn't. The chicken no longer tastes like fish but that was the only good thing I could probably say. This food was SO greasy - oh my god. The fish, chicken, onion rings just oozing grease. The breading was thick and flavorless and just too much of it. Actually, everything had no flavor or seasoning at all - just flat tasting. They put rice in the bag that we did not order - tasted it - again, just flat in flavor - no salt or pepper. At least it wasn't greasy OR breaded. Neither of us are very picky, especially my husband. He'll eat just about anything. We tried to pick some of the breading off and season the food. We ended up throwing EVERYTHING in the trash. Guess it will be another 10 years (or when we forget how bad it was) before we go back again. I can say they did cook it fast and it was fresh and hot, the drive through lady was very friendly so not bashing the restaurant. If this is the recipes for their food though it is gross and we can't really believe people like this stuff. The one star is correct because of the good service and friendly staff ONLY.

I will never eat at long john silvers again. I was in a rush so i went through the drive thru in hopes of getting "fast food" and with the process of ordering, paying & recieving my order was almost over 15 minutes. I didnt have time to check to see if my food was all there and correct. Well long story short when i got to my next destination i realized my order was short 2 pieces of chicken. And when calling them i wasnt able to speak to a manager and whomever i was speaking with kept making it very know that "we have NEVER made that type of mistake" and was very insistent that i was wrong inwhich i wasnt.

Wish I didnt even have to put a star cause I would of left it blank. its horrible. they took forever, didnt give us our drink, food was HORRIBLE, shut the window on us so and walked away so we couldnt even ask for sauce and stuff. no thank you or have a good day. Rolled her eyes at us and called the manager didnt says anything other then let me replace that drink. sorry its snowing outside im not coming back for a drink. When I said no thanks he said ok bye and hung up. So unprofessional. Wont ever go there again.
