Primary Care
Our walk in Immediate Care is pleased to offer care to new patients and our existing medical office patients. Upon your arrival you will check in with our receptionist. They will ask you for your health insurance card and a photo ID. They will also verify if you are a new patient to our Immediate Care, if so we would like to obtain basic demographic information from you. If you have previously been in our Immediate Care or medical office, we will verify the information that we currently have in our records. Please inform us of your primary care providers name and we will gladly send them a copy of your visit notes.
Family Practice
It all began when Bishop Thomas Olmsted offered his blessing and support to the formation of Holy Family Medical (HFM). Dr. Antonio Barba, Jr. and Dr. Ronald Ferris co-founded and established HFMA on August 15, 2000. Dr Barba had been in practice as an obstetrician/gynecologist for many years and was planning to move his practice from being by the Via Christi - St. Francis Campus to the Via Christi - St. Joseph Campus. Dr. Ferris had just finished his family medicine residency at the Via Christi Family Medicine Residency. The timing was perfect and by the grace of God, the two physicians came together at a new office by the Via Christi - St. Joseph Campus. The opening of the new office took place on August 15, 2000, which was also the feast of the Assumption of Mary. This feast celebrates the bodily taking up of the Virgin Mary into Heaven at the end of her life. Dr. Barba retired at the end of 2006 after delivering thousands of babies during his career. Dr. Ferris continued with HFMA and on February 2, 2011, an open house was held to celebrate moving to a new office on Hillside. That day was also another feast to celebrate the Presentation of Jesus at the Temple.
Emergency Care
Copays and Payments are requested at the time of service. Some health insurance may treat an Immediate Care similar to an office visit verus and Emergency Room for the amount of co-payment that might be due at the time of service. We accept Cash, Mastercard and Visa for your convenience.
Immunizations
We are unable to send any medical records out of our office without a signed authorization by the patient or their guardian. Once a completed form is received, the request will be promptly processed. The only exception to this is when we refer you to a specialist for care and if a school or daycare sends us a faxed request for immunization records.
