Warning ! the Westminster store failed to tighten the lug nuts on one of my front tires,**TWICE**

I bought a set of four new tire at the Westminster store last winter. The salesman was very helpful and found four tires that I wanted, that were discontinued. But after they installed the tires , I was driving to work and noticed a slight rubbing noise. By the time that I was heading home on the highway the steering wheel started to shake . I pulled over and couldn't see anything wrong. I was able to drive slowly on the shoulder till I got to the Merchants in Columbia. They discovered that the lugs on one tire were so lose that they could be removed be twisting them off with your fingers. When I called Bob, the Westminster owner to complain, he apologized and said that his techs double checked their work. Obviously it didn't happen this time. So I forgave him and when it was time to have my tires rotated I returned there again. They were glad to see me come back. After they rotated the tires I drove to work and again on the highway my front end started to violently shake. I pulled over on the shoulder went to the front wheel and was shocked to find that again I could remove the lug nuts with my fingers. I will never go there again!

I went into Merchant's Tire and spoke with a handsome gentleman named Ben. He was fair, honest, and extremely nice. I bought some Michelin tires from him and I asked for a discount. BAM! He gave me forty dollars off. I would recommend Merchant's to anyone who is looking for tire and/or service. Just ask for Ben. HE WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU!!!!!!

I took my 1994 Ford Contour in for service at the Ford Dealer. They told me a $3000 total to fix my car. I sought a second opinion. I went down the road to Merchant's Tire and Auto where a friendly young man greeted me in the parking lot. I explained the situation but didn't tell him anything that Ford told me. They went through and did a thorough examination on my car. They said that the total to fix my car would be $562. I told them to fix it! I then explained what Ford told me about my car. The young main was astonished that a Dealer would try to get over on me like that. Long story short I paid and drove my car away and the problem was solved for 1/6th of the price!!! THANK YOU MERCHANT'S TIRE AND AUTO. I will be a life long customer as well as my friends and family.
