My shopping experience was the best. Our salesperson "Johnny" was so knowledgeable and friendly. My Mom custom ordered her living room set and Johnny was able to advise us the best color and fabrics to go along with the sofa we purchased. My mom's furniture was delivered after Christmas as promised and it was just beautiful. She is receiving so many compliments on her new living room furniture. I loved my shopping experience and I would go back again and I would definitely look for Johnny. Way to go Gavigans!

We went to Gavigans in search of a recliner after checking them out at another local furniture store. There was a much larger selection, but they were more expensive. Melanie was our salesperson and she was very friendly. A little pushy, but not obnoxiously pushy. I liked her attitude and she did her job well. My husband found the chair he wanted but it was $200 more than what the avg price was at the competitors. I explained to Melanie our budget, and asked if there were any sales or military discounts. Although they don't have a military discount policy, Melanie consulted with the store manager who agreed to sell us the recliner we wanted in our price range. We were NOT expecting that at all! My husband was bummed that we couldn't take the chair home that night and had to wait for it to be delivered to their warehouse in Lithicum. I picked up the chair today. The staff at the warehouse were super nice and helpful and had the paperwork all ready for me to sign. My husband and I got his recliner set up tonight and he is in love. We will definitely be getting our furniture at Gavigans from now on. They exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much to Melanie and the Westminster staff, as well as the warehouse staff in Lithicum.

I went into your Westminster store in February and purchased a Brand new sofa and love seat. At first I felt that the sales lady was very nice, and wrote up the ticket, I put $2125.00 cash down and she said in 6 to 8 weeks I will have my beautiful new furniture..... I began to call and check on my furniture after the 8 weeks had passed and was being given the run around for weeks!!! In one of my calls to them I finally found out that 1 piece of my furniture was in, so we picked it up... 2 more weeks went by, and after hearing EVERY EXCUSE as to why they didn't have my Sofa I asked for a manager! The manager was not in for the next 3 days. So on Saturday my husband went in to speak to the manager. During the original order the sales lady forgot to put down the price of the other sofa, so the manager printed out there sales print out....it clearly stated the price but also stated in the notes section "3-27 DO NOT TELL CUSTOMER MURCH IS IN. WE USED HER SOFA FOR ANOTHER CUSTOMER. VR PER GM"!!!!!!! This whole time I was being lied too! I will never ever personally recommend or do business with Gavigans Furniture again!!!!!

Purchased 2 couches and 1 chair. Completely lied to. We were told they were leather. Additionally, when after less than 1year they started to peel they did not refund, replace, or repair. They offered us 40% off if we purchased new items. They are liars and do not back their products. We have sent them numerous emails and photos and they just ignore us. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM GAVIGANS!!!!

Watch out - they sell you 'matching pieces' and then when you call to ask why the exposed legs don't match they give you a song and dance how the accent pieces for your sofa have different leg shapes and colors....however, without specifiying on the work order, the pillows on my sofa match the accent pieces. Makes no sense to me....now I have to new colors of wood in my family room, unless I want to spend the money and replace all the legs at my expense..Makes no sense at all.

Gavigan's is great as long as you never have a customer service issue. The piping on my couch is ripping and out of warranty (and the furniture company is out of business). I am more than happy to pay for a repair except they want to charge $100.00 to visit and are not even sure they can repair my couch. Better to just shop at one of the more reputable furniture stores in the area.
