Established in 1990, The Village of Westland offers a range of assisted living solutions for senior citizens. It provides one- and two-bedroom apartments that feature emergency call systems, vertical blinds, and kitchen with electric ranges, refrigerators and freezers. The village has a library, health clinic, computer laboratory, store, laundry facilities, beauty and barber shops, and dining, exercise and television rooms. The Village of Westland also provides meal, housekeeping, respite, health care and Chaplin services. It organizes recreational events and weekly shopping and banking trips. In addition, the village offers support services to individuals suffering from Alzheimer's and memory-related diseases. The Village of Westland is a part of the Presbyterian Villages of Michigan.
