A-1 Job Busters

we hired A1 for minor residential upgrades on 06-22-09 we were told the job would be complete in 2 weeks. to cut costs, we omitted 2 or 3 things...nearly 3 weeks passed we went to see results...TRAGIC ! the price went UP $800.00, it was not finished, property damage blamed on vandalism (1st time in 30 yrs) ?? charged twice for the same thing, also for supplies and services i didn't approve, had i known "family operated" means the KIDS i would have overlooked A1 ....thousands of dollars later and im kinda missing the sparkle of the 1970's theme i SO hated just over a month ago ... today is 07-30-09 3 weeks overdue, yesterday, i finished the painting myself. do-it-yourself * i mean do yourself a favor...pass on A1

I used A-1 Job Busters to install some railing at a property I own. They did not perform the work as they bid it. I ended up paying much more than they quoted, and they didn't even use the materials they told me they were going to use. Management is unprofessional and didn't even want to address the issue. They did not inform me of the problems that came up during the job, and they would not talk to me after sending me an outrageous invoice. Take your business somewhere else.

Workmanship was spotty. Sometimes very good, but occasionally amateurish. The primary problem was that the job was sub-contracted to numerous different groups, at the same time there no consistent oversight from the general contractor. The guy never showed up once except to solicit the job. This meant of course that all oversight was delegated to myself. I never knew who would show up when, and I found myself explaining aspects of the job in detail up to eight times to eight different people. Frustrating when it meant skipping work to make sure that what was requested was in fact done!That said, the final product was for the most part satisfactory. With vigillance, problems got fixed. It just took more time and effort on my part than I hoped.
