General Info

Established in 1963, Port of Sacramento offers a range of cargo handling services. It provides deep water shipping, rail services and access to freeways. The port handles bagged rice, safflower seed, wood chips and news print. It also handles decorative rocks, steel coils, fiberboards, project cargo, and bagged fertilizers and wheat. The port offers trucking services through more than 50 companies. Its commodity handling capabilities include bagging and warehousing of bulk cargo. The port offers weighing, sampling, storage, and loading and unloading services. Port of Sacramento maintains various grain elevators, bagging facilities, transit sheds and storm water control systems. It owns over 2,500 acres of waterfront land along. The port manages a staff of terminal operators and maintenance personnel. Port of Sacramento is located in West Sacramento, Calif.
