One day I decided to ask him. He pulled up his shirt and showed me more scars, then even more on his legs. You see, my great grandfather was in World War Two. He was a paratrooper. I sat there listening in awe, to my Great Grandfather, the war hero, who was shot coming down from a jump, across the face, the torso and the legs, and survived to tell me about it. I miss those stories of his experiences, as well as my grandfather who has now passed. He received a purple heart, but now, we are only left with memories of the experiences as we remember them told. I wish I could have made a Lifetimes Video then, so that I could pass it down to my children and grandchildren. The experiences of our family and the history is lost, and now remain only in our memory.
