Dr. LoPinto uses behavioral therapy to help children and adolescents (ages 2-18) with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), and other behavioral difficulties, and are experiencing problems at home, at school, and/or with friends. The strategies and techniques Dr. LoPinto uses to help others are research-based methods guided by behavioral learning theory which emphasizes changing behavior by changing antecedents (what happens before the behavior occurs) and consequences (what happens after the behavior occurs). Dr. LoPinto provides diagnostic assessments, child / adolescent therapy, family therapy, parent management training, and school consultations. Dr. LoPinto is a Licensed Psychologist with a PhD in Combined Clinical and School Psychology. Behavioral therapy to help children & adolescents (ages 2-18): * Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) * Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) * Impulse Control Disorders * Behavior Difficulties A 12-week Parent Management Program: This 12-week psycho educational group parenting program offered by Dr. LoPinto is aimed at helping parents increase their children's compliance and cooperation, improve the parent-child relationship, and create a peaceful atmosphere at home. Parents will learn strategies and techniques, which they will practice in group meetings and home-based activities, for managing their own and their children's behavior. If your child is exhibiting noncompliance, defiance, poor self-control, anger, or hostility, then this program will teach you the methods you need to overcome these challenging and difficult behaviors. Dr. LoPinto provides the following school consultation services: * In-Service Training * Assisting Teachers with Coordinating Home-School Interventions * Conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) * Developing, Implementing, And Monitoring Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs) * Attendance at Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings and/or Section 504 meetings
