The Masera Learning Center offers transdisciplinary programs for students with autism and autism-related developmental disabilities. The center provides a range of programs for the development of social and communication skills. It specializes in behavioral services for children with delayed cognitive, speech and perceptual motor problems. The Masera Learning Center also offers transitional, trial teaching and middle school classes. The center provides parent training, counseling and character education programs. It specializes in providing community outings, activities and functional behavior assessments. The Masera Learning Center is a part of Eastern Suffolk BOCES, which offers educational, instructional and management programs for children and adults. Eastern Suffolk BOCES is an educational cooperative of more than 50 school districts in Long Island, N.Y. The Masera Learning Center is located in West Islip, N.Y.
