I received the worst customer service ever from a Manager Associate by the name of Chris Barnes at the Wesley Chapel, Fl location! My car is being service at Toyota of Tampa Bay so I originally was given a rental at the Hertz on Fletcher. Unfortunately, the car smelled of cigarettes, was not clean, and had cigarette burns in it. I started having problems breathing and my eyes began to tear up. I stopped at the Hertz in Wesley Chapel to exchange the vehicle. Chris Barnes switched out the vehicle to a Nissan Altima. He said he would be right back..10 minutes later he returns with no car and says it had mechanical difficulties. He then said he had another Altima he switched the paperwork out again and said he would be right back with the vehicle. Approximately 25 min later he pulls up in a wet dirty white Nissan Altima. I asked what took so long and he gets really defensive. He replied, " We didn't expect you so here's the vehicle." I replied, " Excuse me. You should first start off with sorry for your wait and thanks for your patience." He was being real aggressive and looked like he was going to hit me at one point. I asked to speak to the Manager. The Manager apologized for his behavior. As the Manager was speaking he continued to be show anger and disrespect. Since he walked off I had to go back inside to ask the Manager to walk the vehicle with me since it had numerous scratches and he was too upset to finish his job. This incident really needs to be looked into. He needs anger management and needs to go to a class to learn how to treat customers! I don't plan on using Hertz if this guy remains employed there. I unsterstand that everyone needs a job but if you're that unsteady and and unhappy you need not to be there!
Rent a Reck Operation. First Car was moldy and only had a quarter tank of gas. Returned next day and requested a clean car with a full tank. Received 1/2 tank and new car leaked oil a week later. Returned to pick up another car. After being promised one car, an hour later it was gone. And was offered a compact. I waited for an acceptable car to be produced. And At the final turn in, I was said no charge (Ins will pay for everything), I was then charged. And I still do not have a receipt?
