I Love this school oh so very much! When I leave my daughter in the morning she's always happy to see her teachers and excited to play... when I return in the afternoon she has a giant smile on her face without fail :) I would Highly recommend this daycare to anyone

My children have been going here for 4 years now my oldest went to the part-time and also full- time preschoo, and my youngest has only done full-time. My children have absolutely loved this school and the teachers! The staff is very warm and welcoming and really love the children! When we walk in everyday almost everyone knows my kids by name. One of the things I really appreciate is that there is very little turnover in teachers which is wonderful because my youngest doesn't do change well. Also the teachers take the time to talk to you anytime you feel the need. This place is wonderful for children and I highly recommend it!

My son started at HCDC in the infant room and just graduated from Pre-K 5. It is a wonderful school. All of his teachers, teacher supervisors, and administrators were amazing. Some of the other reviews here sound to me like they must be about a different school than HCDC in Watauga. If you are looking for a Christian pre-school that you can trust where your child will thrive, HCDC is it!

Management and Staff at HCDC have a heart for teaching and providing excellent care for our children in a most loving and competent enviroment.

No Star rating for this school. Donna is correct below. This school is really not a good school to send your kids to. I was so sorry I did. Although the PreK teacher is the sweetest person, I felt that my son never really learned anything. And the administrator specially the "Director of Finance" rubs me the wrong way. The one time I was ever late in payment (because I misunderstood the policy) she sent me an invoice in my child's box, sent me an email and also sent that same invoice via mail to my house. Overkill...money hungry....They did this to me twice. The second time was when I decided enough is enough. When my younger child's summer camp ended I wanted to terminate my older son's full time session. Technically, when you terminate before the end of the summer session for full time students, you have to pay back a one week free tuition that they gave you if you used the one week free. Technically it is due on or before your child's last day of school. I gave them notice on Monday and my child's last day is Friday. On Tuesday I got 2 invoices from both my child's box in their class, I also received an email and a letter in the mail. For one, she tried to charge me a higher fee for the vacation even though I get 10% off because I have two children. Then she tried to charge me immediately a $10.00 late fee even though it isn't my son's last day yet. Very annoying....And so I gave her an email telling her that I want to speak to the Executive Director of the school. She never responded back to me. The administration of this school only cares for the $$$. They don't particularly care for the family, parents or the children. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS TO THIS SCHOOL. LEARN FROM MY AND DONNA'S EXPERIENCE.

There is sooooooooooooooooo much I could say about this place that is negative! Aggressive students that they do not keep other children safe from, director and administrators that DO NOT listen to parents' concerns! It seems that this "Christian" child care facility is in the business to make $$$$ not in the business of taking care of the kids in the way they should. Save yourself time, money, and a HUGE heart-ache and head-ache DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN here!



The upper management seems to "remember" conversations wrong...funny that the way they "remember" the conversations keeps them out of legal issues. It got so bad that I notified the head pastor of what was happening. Didn't hear anything back from him either....hummm???



Don't risk it with them....they are NOT easy people to deal with when push comes to shove and you have concerns. They only want your money!
