Riverside Pet Resort

Our Pekingese stayed here for a few days while we vacationed in Atlantic Beach over the summer and the staff was accommodating and very friendly. Buster seemed to enjoy his time there! We will definitely use Riverside again if travels brings us back to NC; which hopefully they will!

I had use this boarder when it was owned by someone else. I tried it twice with the new owners. Never ever again. My dog is elderly and needs daily medication which I counted out for the 2 days. When I went to get her they handed me her dog food which didn't look touched and all but 2 pills back. (The 2 pills I gave her in front of the person to show her how to easily). There answer was I must have given them more than I thought ABSOLUTELY NOT. They had a abundance of dogs this weekend so busy. You should never take in more dogs than you can handle....EVER. Needless to say if it had been a life sustaining medication for my dog she would have died that weekend.

Riverside is a great place to take your dog. The staff is amazing and their facility is amazing. I think they should call it the Hilton Dog Palace. It's a great feeling to know you can leave your dog at this location while your on vacation. You know your dog is taken care of. I highly recommend this place.

I don't know what happened there but my puppy was not herself. We've used her vet in the past and no problems they were just pricey so we decided to try Riverside.

They refused to bathe her claiming she snapped and growled at the attendants... Shes a golden Retreiver who in the 3yrs i've had her (all her life) I have never even heard her even bark let alone growl or snap.

A bath is a bath so I wasn't worried but when i went in the back they had her in a small crate she had to crawl on her belly to get out of and then peed everywhere out of fear of the woman who took me back there. She tried to run out of the building instead of to me or my husband which is not like her AT ALL!

I don't know if she was given the toy we left for her, I'm guessing since her blanket came out of the dryer she must've had it and piddle on it, which is ok and typical when shes away from home but she had nothing for comfort in her tiny crate. Her food was given back to us completely full, I don't know what she ate for the past 2 days but it wasn't her own food.

Don't take your pet here. If you're strapped for $, try it but if your fur-child's safety is of great importance look elsewhere.
