Welcome to the Washington Therapy Center! Washington Therapy Center is a subsidiary of O.T. Plus Inc. and is owned by James and Cathy Gaynor and was opened as part of their dream to give back to the community and to assist in providing quality pediatric care that is affordable and accessible to all. We provide occupational and speech therapy in an innovative, fun and family oriented environment. In turn, the skills learned from our dedicated and highly trained therapy staff will help children function more independently and effectively to become a more productive part of their community and the world as a whole. Our team of therapists offer Occupational and Speech and Language therapy services to help children achieve the highest level of functioning possible. The Center also offers Various Day Camps throughout the year, Therapeutic Child-Centered Yoga, our Summer Success Program and Handwriting Without Tears. We also host free “Fun Days” throughout the year. Our clinic illustrates how therapy should be a team effort involving the child, parents, caregivers, and our team of qualified therapists. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Many of our patients include those who have become limited from the affects of disorders such as Tennis or Golfer Elbow, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome or Cubital Tunnel Syndrome. We also treat those patients who have arthritic, neurological, or congenital conditions.
Autism
Jennifer received her Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology from East Carolina University in 1998. She has worked since that time providing pediatric evaluations and treatment within the school, home, and child care setting. Jennifer has vast experience with autism and other complex language delays and disorders. She also has experience with childhood speech disorders including apraxia, selective mutism, stuttering, and articulation disorders. Serving Beaufort County for over 10 years, Jennifer is proud to be a part of Washington Therapy Center.

“I have first-hand experience within my own family of living with and understanding ADHD, moderate learning disabilities and Aspergers. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family. We enjoy the beach and fishing. My husband, Glenn and I volunteer our time helping to head up a local organization called EXCEL – (Exceptional Children Enjoying Life) which offers T-ball and is growing to other activities for children with special needs within Beaufort County and surrounding counties. I thank my Lord every day for this wonderful path that he led my life down so much later in life! Occupational Therapy is a wonderful field! I am blessed by all the wonderful children I am able to work with and help, and they in return help me and teach me as well everyday!!”
