Franklin's Restaurant

My entrée was supposed to be served with a salad and warm bread, the bread came to the table wrapped in saran wrap and was not warm and definitely not even fresh, the salad was embarrassing (you would have to see for yourself). I can not imagine this place will be in business much longer and quite frankly I'm surprised it has lasted as long as it has. Also the "employee break area" in the back which is completely visible to the public is a real eye sore, they smoke cigarettes all the time! There has never been a time that I have drove by and not seen at least 2 people there smoking. 2nd and absolute last visit for my family.

Tried Patty melt and fries and turkey melt and fries. Both were good. Friendly servers.

We LOVE Franklin's! The food is made fresh, it is inexpensive and the service is quick. It is not fancy but a great place to take the kids.

My husband and I ate here with our 2 year old daughter. We read the above review and thought we'd give it a try. One word, AWFUL. I do not recommend this place. We had the burgers and my daughter had some fries and chicken tenders. The fries were very tasteless. The burgers were just okay, not something we would go back and pay the price we paid for it. Also I'm a huge mashed potatoes fan and ordered a small side of them with gravy, bad choice, They were terrible to say the least. They had "brown gravy" which was orange in color and chunky and just horrible and they tasted like instant potatoes. I couldn't even force myself to eat them after the first bite... I do not recommend eating here.

Franklin's Restaurant is a new casual dining restaurant in Washington, MO. I ate there tonight for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere relaxed, and the service was pleasant and prompt. I had one of the daily specials, a four-piece fried chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, and a salad. The salad was fresh and crisp, and rather large. The mashed potatoes were a little on the garlicky side, and the corn was somewhat tough, but the fried chicken more than made up for the side dishes. The pieces were large, lightly breaded, and seasoned and fried to perfection. It was similar to Zehnder's fried chicken dinner in Frankenmuth, MI, truly a dining event. I highly recommend the fried chicken dinner, perhaps with a baked potato. In my opinion possibly the best fried chicken dinner the city of Washington has to offer.
