Washington Hebrew Congregation provides spiritual, educational and cultural home for Jews in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area. It offers a house of prayer, learning and assembly to meet the needs of a diverse community. Its early childhood center offers curriculum that includes creative arts and dramatic play, Jewish cultural education and holiday celebrations, music storytelling, cooking, movement activities, outdoor play and field trips. Its primary school offers classes in art, music, dramatic arts, Hebrew, Judaic studies, physical education, science, computers and creative writing. Its religious school offers supplementary Jewish educational programs in kindergarten, Hebrew education in fourth grade and confirmation classes in eighth, ninth and 10th grades.
