Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services

When I discovered that my sewer line to city pipe was clogged, I called Roto Rooter. They sent a service person to my house within two hours. The service person was very capable and professional. Two hours later, the line was clear. I also received a video recording of their visual inspection of the 70 feet of cleared pipe. I was very pleased with the result and plan to use them again should a future need arise.

Within about 4 hours to me coming home and discovering my toilet was leaking onto my floor, Roto-Rooter had showed up, ahead of schedule, and fixed it. Technician had everything he needed on him already to do it. Can't ask for better service!

I had a nasty backup in my basement and had to call Rotor Rooter. The technician Dama Fanai, #1503 was on time, very professional, engaging and informative. He was very articulate in explaining to me what the problem was. He also offered solutions that would help the problem from happening again. He reached out to the parties that needed to be contacted after he finished the job. I was so frustrated with the problem but Dama’s calming demeanor ensured me everything would be ok. I would definitely use Rotor Rooter again if needed. Prayerfully I won’t have to call them but if I do I would call and request that they send Dama. What a gentleman!

Khiangte was the technician who came and snaked out the drain which our gutter cleaners had told us was blocked. The job was much more difficult than anticipated. I was impressed by how calmly yet thoroughly he persevered to solve our problem.

Had a toilet that was leaking water causing the tank to continuously refill. After 2 previous visits from other plumbers, Sailo and his trainee Joseph from Roto-Rooter were able to detect a small leak under the tank which was missed by the other plumbers. He replaced a seal and two other minor parts and the toilet is now fixed. Same day service, great technicians and competitive pricing.I would highly recommend Roto-Rooter.

Kima was great. He first fixed a small toilet flushing issue, then spend the next 30 min unclogging a really bad shower drain clog. This involved using a very long screw driver type tool and then using a snake. He was a pro and got it done promptly while double checking that everything was going well. I thought the pricing was a bit steep based on what my contacts in the industry said so that's why 4 stars and not 5, but the work was good.

Techs, Tin (#2648) and Maung (#1146) provided excellent service arrived with in 1hr after I called and worked from 9am- 6pm. Fixed the major pipes leaks and vibrations and cleaned up everything very well before leaving!! This is my 3rd time using Roto Rooters. They are expensive but do a very thorough job!!

I like the fast response which is why I am willing to pay a huge markup on parts and service. $350 labor for 25 min service call and $395 for a pump that sells for $149.

While many major plumbing companies claim 24 hr emergency service, I have found after an emergency search that only Roto-Rooter delivers on that promise. We had a rapidly expanding leak in a hot water heater expansion tank on a Saturday afternoon that was fixed within a couple of hours by the best plumber I have ever worked with James Lian. As property was a rented English basement apartment, there was imminent risk of loss of rental income and damage repair if the leak had not been promptly fixed by tank replacement.

My downspout drains were completely clogged. Roto-Rooter sent someone out within 2 hours of being called. Isaac (#2009) worked very hard to get my drains completely cleared!!
I am ready for more storms now, and I'm not worrying that my basement will flood again.

Lal came this morning to fix a toilet. He knew exactly what to do, and made sure it worked perfectly before he left. It wasn't cheap, but it was an excellent job on a Sunday morning.

The hot water in my bathtub would not shut off no matter how hard I cranked it. I scheduled an appointment the next day for service to occur between 4pm and 8pm. Beginning at 4:30, I got a call from RotoRooter every couple hours to let me know that my ticket number was still good and they were just waiting for a technician to become available in my area; this was really helpful as if I hadn't heard anything I would have thought they'd forgotten about me. At 8:30, I got a call saying that a technician would be available in 45 minutes... although this was past the appointment window I was thrilled to know that someone was on the way!

My technician had trouble finding parking in my neighborhood so he was a bit later than 45 minutes, but he was very friendly, professional, and courteous. He took a quick look at the problem, gave me an estimate, then went to his truck to get his supplies. He worked quickly, quietly, and put the bathroom back together when he finished. Lal (2038) was prompt and professional. He was very friendly, explained the issue in terms I could understand, discussed options and pricing, and then efficiently fixed the problem.

We noticed a leak beneath a toilet, shut the valve, and called. Promised within an hour, and arrived in 45 minutes. Diagnosed a cracked stiff intake pipe, not wise if toilet shifts even a fraction with the weight of a person sitting down. Replaced with flexible hose. Very pleased.

We were very impressed with our service. Sunday night we noticed liquid leaking in the basement and at 9 PM called Roto Rooter (MacArthur Blvd, DC) who helped a year ago (we live in Potomac). Serviceman came 45 min later and, after checking the sewer line to the street which was still clear from last year's work, discovered a pipe in the back of the house that was clogged. It took 5 hours to clean it out (40 years of gunk!) while my husband kept mopping the floor. Service man was extremely knowledgeable about what he was doing - didn't leave until 2:45 am! RR will be sending out a camera (included in charge) to snake through the pipes to make sure everything is fixed. Second time with Roto Rooter - couldn't be more impressed with serviceman and his work.
