Blu Nail Spa

While on a 2 week business trip to DC, I wanted to relax with a pedicure on the weekend that I was required to stay in the city. I searched the phone book and located Blu Nail Spa. I called to get operating hours and was told the shop was open 7 days a week 10:00am to 5:00pm. Since I was so busy during the week I opted to go on Sunday. Before going, I again called the shop to ensure they were open and again I was told yes. After taking a cab to the spa ($6.00) in the rain, I located the spa, rung the bell and was buzzed in by an employee. Before entering the shop I read a cute little sign on the door "Walk-ins Welcome" however once I entered the office, a technician (race unknown but not black) looked at me and aked if I had an appointment to which my reply was no and that the sign on the door stated "Walk-ins Welcome" and that I called several times and was never told I needed an appointment. She insisted I did, I left, l believe my "blackness" took her by surprise! Rating "1".
