Owner Al was never present at the Job Site.. Waited 3 months. The swirl finish Al brags about I could of done better. Left my lawn a mess. NOT HAPPY. Al is more concerned with opening Hangover Bars then managing his crew(none of which are his sons). Never heard from Al once I made payment to address my concerns. Thanks AL

Overall
pino & Sons cement

I had my cement work done in 2011. I gave Al Lentini a deposit in the beginning of July and had to wait till mid October to get my work started. After 5 months the stamped patio started to show cracks and chips. Also, he conned me into using 10x12ft shed slab after I payed him to do a 12'x14' slab. He said that he would get me a shed from Costcos in which he never provided. He stated that, "Costcos ran out of the sheds". He never followed up on any of his verbal promises. In addition, the shed slab he poured was a 1/2" short on all sides. Now I am stuck with a shed slab I cant use unless I have it customly built to fit those dimensions of 9' 11 1/2"x 11' 11 1/2". Furthermore, he does not follow basic standards for laying the sub-foundation before the cement is poured. He tried to just use sand as the foundation but I insisted on gravel. Lastly, after I paid him for his work he wanted to keep the job proposal, which I thought was very strange. He will use tactics like suggesting to use curved contours in order to decrease payed square footage. If you use pino & sons make sure everything is written on the proposal like start & completion times, what type of foundation, materials that will be used, dimensions, guarantees, and most importantly make sure you have the kind of cement that will be used written in the proposal/contract. If you don't he will take advantage of you. As far as the workmanship, he does some nice designs. But on my stamped cement he messed up on the pattern. So far it has been 11 months and my driveway has no cracks but my patio already has 4 crack and is already chipped up and that was only after < 5 months.

DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

PINO & SONS is NOT LICENSED BY THE STATE OF MICHIGAN TO DO

RESIDENTIAL CONCRETE WORK!

We found this out after we had a driveway installed last fall, October 22, 2011 and now it's falling apart! Their website says they guarantee their workmanship, well

we have been told by the owner - "Sue me!" after his own

sales rep came out to see our messed up NEW driveway which is suffering a miserable ugly existence in our neighborhood for just nine months.

We hired a Civil Engineer who says these guys poured it on wet ground and so now

it's got stones popping, big ugly black spots all over it and "craze cracking" which means it looks like an eggshell waiting to bust open. Only a matter of time before the surface is all shaled and crappier looking - thanks to their GUARANTEED WORKMANSHIP!

Avoid them. They did one job for me that was relatively on time and decent quality. The second job they said they would do in June and kept promising me they would get to it all the way until October when I finally got my deposit back.
