Acme Abrasive was founded in the early 1950s to produce custom-designed resin grinding wheels for a variety of markets. The company s grinding wheels are produced on equipment designed to give precise control of each step in the mix-press-bake-finish process. Presses ranging from 50 to 3,000 ton capacity are used to assure uniform product density. Ovens are driven by computerized controls. Speed testing is done on equipment utilizing precise control under high horsepower loads. The company provides a variety of products, including floorstand and grinding wheels, bench and pedestal grinders, swing frame grinders, portable abrasive wheels, cutoff wheels, hard automation machines, metallurgical testing, roll grinding wheels, hot pressed conditioning wheels, precision cup wheels, broach grinding wheels, resin segments, bubble abrasive wheels, concrete notching and beveling wheels.
