My first time using this shop is the last time I'll ever visit it. My experience was so bad I don't know how they're still in business. It wasn't horrific when you consider some other horror stories of other places, but the timing of everything made what happened that much worse. I had to get my mother of the bride dress altered. I tried it on, she measured this and that and pinned it. Okay, then she said it wouldn't be ready till Saturday, I needed it Friday. She then agreed to Friday. The estimate is $50.00 for this alteration which blew my mind. I had no idea it would be so high. I then figured, maybe it was because of the fabric and was anticipating it to be hand sewn. I know how long it takes to hem/alter a dress by machine - it takes no time at all. Anyway, I come back at the time specified and try it on and it's messed up. The outer lining which was very sheer is at least an inch shorter than the inside layer/lining. I couldn't believe it and by the lady's face she couldn't either. I will say that she was very apologetic and asked me to come back in half an hour. (What took 3 days previously can now be done in a half an hour?) Okay. I wanted to be out of town by Friday evening, it was because of them I had to wait around in the first place and now this put my schedule back even further. I go back in and it fits. I pay and half expect her to take a little off the check because of their goof up but no. They have the gall to ask for the full amount and then I find out that it is in fact machine stitched. I am livid with this store and will never go back and thank god there are so many other stores in this city to choose from.
