Allied Rehab offers physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy to patients in the Wake Forest area community. Since 1987, the therapists of this private out-patient practice have restored functional mobility to our orthopedic clients, obtained pain relief for our pain patients, discovered improved communication for our speech patients and eased daily life skills for our neurological patients.

Mikayli graduated from NC State University with her bachelor’s degree in Genetics. She went on to complete her Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree at Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC. Mikayli has experience working in various rehabilitation settings such as outpatient orthopedics, school, sensory clinic, private practice, and hospital with children and adults of all ages. Her professional interests include developing strategies to help with sensory processing differences and helping to facilitate fine motor skills and upper extremity function with infants, children, and adults so that they can better participate in activities at home, school, and work. In her free time, Mikayli enjoys working out, traveling, going to the beach, and spending time with her fiancé, family, and friends.

At Allied Rehab, we treat adults for a variety of different ailments and injuries. Therapists have significant experience with neurological conditions such as rehabilitation following a stroke or traumatic brain injury. Patients who struggle with impaired balance, falls, or vestibular diagnoses will also be provided quality care. Additionally, Allied Rehab can assist with all general orthopedic ailments with post-surgical joint replacements, back/neck pain, and generalized sports injuries included!

Occupational Therapy
We offer free screenings to children between 1-12 years old for speech and occupational therapy. Occupational and Speech therapy problems can surface at any time during a child’s development. Early detection and intervention is the most effective way to address these developmental challenges. We share screening results with the parent(s) and will discuss if a full evaluation is needed. Teresa founded Allied Rehab in 1987. Teresa is a graduate of the UNC-CH School of Physical Therapy and has over 30 years of experience in the profession. She specializes in treatment of neck and back pain as well as neuro-rehabilitation for stroke and head injury patients. Teresa finds it most rewarding to teach patients how to help themselves. A long time member of the APTA and NCPTA, she has held leadership roles with the Practice and Finance committees; and has served as a Clinical Instructor for physical therapy students from UNC-CH, ECU, and Nash Community College. A Wake County native, she lives in Wake Forest with husband Matt; and together they have launched 3 children into adulthood. Teresa spends her spare time gardening, cooking, and singing.
