Indian Lodge

I called Scott Landon, the owner of the Indian Lodge, and made a reservation at this motel on a Wednesday for a Sat. night stay. I was told that I would need to give my CC # for the reservation to be held. I was very apprehensive to give my card number because I might need to cancel. I was told, "It’s as easy to refund your card as it is to charge it." So I felt assured and proceeded to give him my card number. As luck would have it we had to cancel because it has rained here for 3 days straight and my family cancelled our plans. I called Mr. Landon more than 24 hours in prior to our stay to cancel my reservation. He told me that he cannot refund my money because there is a 3 day minimum to cancel. I was shocked because he did not tell me about this policy over the phone when I made the reservation. He even admitted to not telling me; however, he said it is still their policy. I asked him how he could do this on a clear conscience? He told me because I can still use my room at my reserved time. I was disgusted! He would not even refund 1/2 my money or even agree to make some sort of compromise. I just want anyone who considers staying here to think twice, it they can do this who knows what they are capable of?
