The Venice Fire Department is a full-service public agency that is located in Venice, Fla. The department works to protect the lives, property and environment of the city of Venice from the threats and occurrences of emergencies. It provides nonemergency programs that include inspection and building plan reviews, preplanning, building surveys and engine company familiarizations and equipment maintenance. The Venice Fire Department also organizes programs for to the public and the business community on topics, such as residential, condominium and mobile home fire safety and hurricane and storm awareness and preparation. The department is operated by the city of Venice, which additionally operates airport, administrative services, human resources, finance, police and public works department.
