The Venice City Public Works Department is responsible for the administration and supervision of maintenance, parks, and solid waste and recycling divisions. It offers maintenance services for city-owned streets, parks, sidewalks, road signs, traffic signals, reflective postings and buildings. The department s solid waste and recycling division provides curbside solid and yard waste collection services. The Venice City Public Works Department also offers recycling services for newspapers, phone books, aluminum cans, glass bottles, plastic bags and scrap metal. Its parks division provides various maintenance services, including mowing, edging, trimming, watering, mulching, planting, fertilization and pest control. The department also assists the engineering department s storm water division in maintaining drainage systems within the city. It is located in Venice, Fla.
