Union Taxi

I used Union Cab for at least 15 years. The drivers were knowledgeable, prompt and polite. Then, on Nov. 4, 2016, when I was going to the airport, I got a call about 15 minutes prior to my reservation time that the cab was on its way. I waited outside...and when the cab was late, I called. The dispatcher said the cab was heading to a different street than where I was to be picked one...exactly one block on the other side of a development where I live. I had to walk that distance, with luggage, to where the cab was sitting. The cab was not labeled Union Cab...but instead said Ist Class NJ. Anyway, I was now running late, and once in the cab, was looking at my phone to see if the flight was on schedule and if the terminal had changed. When I looked up, I was horrified to see the driving was going in the WRONG DIRECTION to get to the Garden State Pkwy (I am literally down the block from the parkway, and he was traveling at least 2 miles out of the way!). So, I was very upset. The driver starts telling me to "calm down, lady" and that "he knows where he's going." I told him I've lived in this area for almost 20 years, and I know he is not going in the right direction. He eventually turned around, but we lost more time. Meanwhile, he had a Spanish radio station blaring in the cab. I called in the complaint but I don't think that did a thing. I found out tonight that Union Cab is now either bought by or contracting with 1st Class NJ, so I will never use Union Cab again.

when i was running late for a doc appointment, i called union taxi and they came right away within 10-15 min. the dispatcher was very polite and had a driver come right away. the driver as well was very friendly and helped me with my door and was funny too. if anyone needs a reliable car service you should use them!!!
