Founded in 1910, Township of Union Police Department provides law enforcement and crime prevention services. The department intervenes in cases of robbery, burglary, fraud, auto theft, serious assault and property crime. It offers Drug Abuse Resistance Education and Gang Resistance Education and Training programs for students and general public. It conducts preliminary investigations and gathers and protects evidence. Township of Union Police Department also offers pedestrian and bicycle safety programs. The department operates an enforcement operations division that deals in parking violations. In addition, it offers patrolling and traffic enforcement services. Township of Union Police Department arrests offenders and responds to emergency and nonemergency calls for service. The department is headquartered in Union, N.J.
