Royal Dragon

Tonight, Saturday night, my husband and I decided to celebrate Valentine's Day early and avoid the crowds. We had never been to Royal Dragon and decided to try the cuisine there.



We ate from the buffet and I had a pot of hot tea. I must say I was NOT disappointed. The food was very tasty. I even tried a couple of dishes I'd never had before. The fried foods were light and not heavy with oil. Everything had a nice fresh taste. I was given a handless cup to use to drink my tea. It added ambiance. I had strawberry shortcake and cookies for dessert. Each was delicious. The strawberry shortcake was the perfect dessert to eat after eating the Chinese food.



The restaurant had a Koi pond at the entrance and was very nicely decorated. The waitstaff were very good and friendly. The ladies were dressed in black slacks with red figured blouses of a Chinese styling. There were candles on the tables that , unfortunately, were not lit and cloth table napkins.



The acoustics in the restaurant were good. Though the place was busy, one could easily carry on a conversation across the table from a dinner partner. Music was playing in the background, but not quite loud enough to be heard well, though. Could have been a little louder in order to add more ambiance.



The price was very good. The buffet for two and tea for one was just over $20 with tax plus tip.



If the lights in the dining area were dimmed just slightly and the candles on the table were lit, one could easily imagine they were dining in a high priced restaurant.



Royal Dragon is the best Chinese buffet restaurant we've found since moving to Oklahoma nearly five years ago.



Two thumbs up and 5 stars for Royal Dragon.
