M.W. Bevins Company was established in 1957 and has been supplying Chance with our testers since 1961. These testers were developed for the safety and protection of the lineman. Our product line includes the original analog-phasing tester, which was invented by Marvin Bevins in 1943. In the last fifty years, we have developed several original products. The Line Fault Locator in conjunction with Kenneth Mark was introduced in 1965, to locate underground faults. The Multi-Range Voltage Detector was introduced in 1975, which determines quickly if any voltage is present. Bushing and elbow adapters were developed to allow the use of phasing testers and indicators safety in underground cabinets. The Hi-Pot Adapter was introduced in 1978 to help determine if an underground cable is faulted. In 1998, Mike Cotner V.P., redesigned the Current-Leakage Monitor to ensure the line crew's safety. Wet/Dry Hot Stick Tester, which determines the leakage current of live-line tools used by personnel. The Digital Phasing Testers, developed in 2000, utilizes a microprocessor to improve the additional features such as hold, backlight and sleep mode and allows for advancements.
