Went to Precision to lease a new car or possibly purchase a used one. Had some credit concerns because of a recent bankruptcy. Talked to Kevin in the new car section. I believe his card said “Customer Relations” as the title. He said getting a lease would be harder so we walk to the used car lot next door. I end up taking a 2012 Nissan Altima for a test drive. Love the car so we start talking prices. Kevin shows me a printout that states the car costs $21,000+ dollars. After tax, license, doc fee etc… its Just over $24,000. Tells me if I put $1000.00 down my payments will be $350 per month. Runs my credit. Says my score is good but I don’t have my bankruptcy discharge papers yet so I need to come back in a few weeks and they will sell me the car. I drive home and pull up the car on the internet to show some family members what it looks like and see the car listed for $16,999 not the $21,000+ Keven told me it cost. It also stated it could be financed for $232 per month. I drove back to the dealer and verified the VIN# in the online ad matched the VIN# on the car I drove. I then tracked down Keven to give him his card back and tell him that I felt like they were trying to rip me off. Telling me a car costs $21000.00 when the real price is $17,000.00. When I showed him the ad online he asked if I complained to the the sales manager because “he was the one” that told him what the price of the car was. I don’t even know who the sales manager is but one of them is a crook. Kevin stormed off. Not sure if he was mad at the sales manager or mad that he got caught trying to over charge me. (not my first choice of words) Either way, Im not going back and regret letting them do an inquiry on my credit. I only make $1600 per month so overcharging me by $4000.00 on a car is A LOT of money for me.

Overall

So less than a year into ownership and my vehicle has blown the motor a little over 18,000 miles into ownership. There is a TSB out for the problem my motor has experienced and I have purchased the Extended Warranty but I am being told I need to pay them to find out what happened and they are saying the problem is not covered under warranty even though the initial diagnosis has shown the vehicle is allowing coolant into the combustion chamber. (They are charging me 100 right now just for this information)

After being jerked around by Precision Toyota the first time when buying my FRS, then buying my wife's car and coming in to sign papers after her surgery only to have the listed price go up 1000 I can honestly say that Precision Toyota has shown me nothing but issues since we bought. Before this with the Corvette I own that was bought there during the tires for life promotion only to be denied tire replacement because tires were to expensive for a Corvette to them I see nothing other than a pattern of abuse, lies and neglect. There may be decent employee's there but this type of treatment and service is completely unacceptable and unethical.

I am filing a complaint with the BBB, Toyota, and involving a law firm in this to get a resolution to my issues.

Steer clear and hope to avoid such treatment because if this is how they treat a repeat customer how would they treat a new customer?

Coming from a multi-generation Toyota family, I can honestly say this is THE WORST Toyota dealership we have ever been to!

Sales - absolutely pathetic, untrained, non-responsive and judgmental salespeople I have dealt with. Our multicultural family was all but blown off because we asked for a list of all discounts and dealer incentives - they refused saying we weren't serious because we didn't want to drive the car and were comparing to a more expensive model/brand! New. Car. Sale. Lost.

Service - don't even get me started. Wasted a complete day due to a plethora of mistakes and miscommunications on their end. When we returned for the vehicle, 8 hours later with no work done and no return communication made, the snot-nosed pretty boy "service manager" tried to belittle us and twist words and facts to make it all our fault. A simple "I'm sorry, we'll fix it" would have been great but apparently everyone there thinks they are better than the clients...why, because they have employment? Hah!

Will make the extra drive to Phoenix in the future - will be worth our while. Two clients, and a third one soon to be driving, LOST.

I purchased a new 2011 towards...

I purchased a new 2011 towards the end of december and 3months into the purchase i was going on a short trip out of town, so i took my car to precision toyota to check the tire pressure and fluids just incase. The service agent told me i can take it to a mom and pop place to take care of that. Now a month later a service tire pressure light came on, so i took it back again and they said there was an unfixable puncture to it and i would have to pay 180.00 for a new tire. They said they cover patches but if it was not fixable due to outside damage and not due to being defective. I only had this vehicle for 4months. the service agent said if i buy a new tire it will come with something called roadside hazard but since it came from the factory it doesnt come with that warrenty. I paid 3k extra for extended warrenty If there is warrenty if i purchase a new tire with them and i purchased the car with them, then i dont understand why the warrenty dosent come with it since i bought the car from precision toyota brand new..I have a friend in a similar situation with carmax in tucson and they replaced it no problem. I have purchased 2 cars from precision and they lost my business. I dont see the "toyota care" if they cannot back up there warrenty fully. they do not warrenty there tires off the floor, but you can buy a new one and it will come with that warrenty. I took it to a tire place i used to frequent and he took the tire and patched up. he said it was not that bad and did not charge me and said it was good to see me again.

Never Again

They have a woman that works at this company who has the worst attitude in life. I would not ever give this company business. However, John Rowe is a nice person. He needs to fire Robin.

Terrible!

I guess we really must thank Precision Toyota. The salesmen were both very pleasant, but their sales manager was very rude...he told us that if we were going to pit his salesman against each other he would prefer we just go somewhere else (his accusation was completely false) but we took his advice and went to Desert Toyota where we bought not one but two new vehicles the following week. A 2008 Toyota Tundra and an 08 Toyota Scion. The prices at Desert Toyota were unbeatable and they were willing to negotiate the price and our trade-ins. Combined we still spent over $50,000 and we are extremely pleased that the money went to Desert and not Precision. We have told anyone and everyone that we know and who comes through our business to never deal with Precision Toyota when they can go to Desert.

The one thing I do want to say is that I have bought a vehicle from David at Precision Scion, who was an absolute dream to work with and I would have purchased from him again if Precision Toyota was not so rude to us.

I did take my old scion to the maintenance department at Precision and was not real impressed there. Four hours for an oil change seemed extreme, but the free shuttle to the mall was nice. They never did fix the problem with my window.....

For a brief explanantion...

Went to Precision and talked to Brett about the Tundra. He was pleasant, but we wanted to think on the truck and the price. We went to the mall and a young man working at a kiosk noticed the Tundra book in our hand. He said his dad works in fleet at Precision and we should talk to him for a deal. Not realizing this would be a problem, we of course called Jaff for the great deal. He gave us a better price, but it was followed by a phone call from a salesmanager who was rude to the extreme feeling that we were pitting two of his guys against each other. First, it is our right to deal with whomever we want to. We could have gone to the lot the following day and dealt with a different salesman..that is our right! Out of principal we went to Desert and bought the EXACT same Tundra and at a lower price and they even added more options. I knew I was getting a new scion, and again, they gave me a great deal on my trade in so I went with them. We wanted to avoid Precision at all costs. We are both managers in a business and know how important customer service is.

This was about 1 month ago and since then we have sent family, friends, and customers that come to our business to Desert Toyota. Thank you Precision for recommending that we go there. If you go to Desert please ask for Jeremy Willard in fleet/internet sales or salesman Nathan...tell them Jen and Adam sent you!

Safety Issues

I bought a certified used car from this dealership a year ago. I bought it certafied because they were suppose to be inspected of malfunctions and defects. Well I just took my car for regular service and ask them to check a tire that was leaking air. When the service person approached me after they checked the tire I was told that there was a steel plug in the tire that was defective and that the sidewall of the tire was compromise and it had to be replace. He proceeded to assume that I was the one that had the tire fixed and that the warranty of the car did not cover that type of fix. I told him that I had never taken the car anywhere to get it fix other than the dealership and that they had sold me the car with the defective tire. I was not belived and they wanted to charge me for the tire.

I feel that their inspections on used cars are not throughly done like they are suppose to. The safety of my family was compromise when I left the lot with a defective tire. I have written to the owner of the dealer about this issue and I never got a response from him. This shows how much they care about people. I do not recommend this dealer for fear of people's safety.
