Collaborative law is a way of practicing law where the attorneys for both of the parties to a family or other dispute agree to assist them in resolving conflict using cooperative strategies rather than adversarial techniques and litigation. In collaborative law, the attorneys assist their clients in solving problems, creating options and achieving settlement. My goal by practicing Collaborative Law: I listen thoroughly to all the concerns of my client and maintain open communication. I value integrity and honesty from all parties. My goal is to achieve a settlement of all issues that is comprehensive and fair. I advocate for my client an agreement that promotes healing, and sets a positive tone for the future. I am particularly concerned that the needs of children in domestic cases are given the highest priority, and that the best interest of the children is the foundation of the agreement reached regarding custody, visitation and child support.
