Primary Care
Stacee is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care (CPNP-PC) and a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Nursing from Carroll College in 2004 and completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Arizona in 2019. In her doctoral work, she implemented a school-based activity program as one intervention to target the childhood obesity epidemic.
Ear Infections
Some antibiotics are effective against only certain types of bacteria; others can effectively fight a wide range of bacteria. Bacterial infections include strep throat, most (but not all) ear infections, and some sinus, bladder and lung infections. Not all bacterial infections require treatment with an antibiotic. For example, using a nasal saline rinse multiple times per day can obviate the need for antibiotics in the case of a sinus infection.

Immunization is essential not only to a child’s health, but to the health of everyone around them. When children are first born, their immune systems are powered primarily by the antibodies found in their mother’s breast milk. As growth occurs and weaning takes place, this form of immunity is no longer sufficient to prevent infection, and the child becomes vulnerable to a variety of pathogens without the ability to defend against them. Vaccines are a solution to this period of exposure that assumes the role of a mock-microbe attack to prepare the body for future invasions.

Urinary Tract Infection
Many conditions, such as an ear infection, a common cold, the flu, a urinary tract infection or pneumonia, may cause a child to develop a fever. In some cases, medication, injury, poison or an extreme level of overactivity may produce a fever. An environment that is too hot may result in heat stroke, a potentially dangerous rise in body temperature. It is important to look for the cause of the fever.

Behavioral services for our population diagnosed within the Autism Spectrum Disorders. These providers all are certified in “Applied Behavioral Analysis” in Pima County.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Stacee previously worked in pediatric and emergency nursing. As a nurse practitioner, she is excited to help children attain their best wellbeing through health promotion using the latest evidence-based practices integrated with the family’s needs and beliefs. Her other care interests include: newborn care and new parent education, adolescent female health, ADHD, allergies and asthma management, and childhood obesity prevention.

After completing his medical training at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Dyson moved north to pursue a residency training in Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital at MetroHealth in Cleveland, Ohio. At the end of his pediatric training, while his wife was completing her dermatology training at the University of Hospitals of Cleveland, Dr. Dyson worked as a hospitalist at The Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital for Rehabilitation and at The Children’s Hospital at MetroHealth. Dr. Dyson continued his stint as a hospitalist at the University of Texas Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital. During his wife’s fellowship training, Dr. Dyson managed a large census of patients in the high risk nursery. This valuable experience treating premature and term infants with complex cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, pulmonary and neurologic conditions encouraged Dr. Dyson to follow his patients in the clinic setting.
