Broadway Inn Apartments

This is quite possibly the most disgusting complex on the planet. I lived there for a year, and I hated every minute of it. The worst part about living there was the cockroaches, I woke up one night to go to the bathroom and I found that I couldn't see the sink because the entire thing was completely covered in them. I tried everything from bombing the place to hiring a professional company to come in and look at it. They came by four different times and I still got swarms of them.



There's also a huge infestation of crack heads in the place. The first night I lived there, a woman came to my door begging me to give her a ride because she said she needed to get high. I couldn't stand. I had people knocking on my door day and night trying to get the stuff or to see if I had a cigarette, or toilet paper, or if they could use my phone, or even simply to talk.



The manager has a lot of problems, and she invests all of her time in patrolling the complex. She'll do this at all hours sometimes staying up all night and day just so she can patrol round the clock. The end result is that she is constantly asking you questions about what you are doing and watching who goes in and out of your door. I saw one couple receive a notice for having shady people in their apartment. She's very intrusive.



I tried to tell the management about the cockroach problem, but they won't do anything serious about it. They have a company that comes in every month, whether you want them to or not, and sprays some sort of organic spray on the roaches. From what I could tell they loved the stuff, but they were completely immune to it.



Also, there is a clause in your leasing agreement that they can come into your apartment whenever they want to without warning. I heard about one woman screaming at them because she was naked and didn't want them to come in there. They just barged right on in without listening to her complaints. The same thing almost happened to me. The manager will often evict those on sight who will not let them into their apartment, citing a clause in the leasing agreement against blocking the doorways, which was put in there to keep the place up to code.



There is another clause in the leasing agreement stating that at any time without warning they can evict you without cause. The manager took that literally to mean that the people would have to leave their home immediately and she would call the police if they refused to do so. I saw this happen twice.



There is constantly some sort of inspector snooping around the complex because of its bad reputation, and the manager is always complaining about it. I think its because the floors are really shaky and old on the second floor. I believe that they are about to cave in at any time, but that's just speculation.



I honestly hope that if you are considering living in this disgusting filth hole, that you reconsider for your sanity and quite possibly for your own safety.
