My payments are almost always on time the couple times I needed to be late they were understanding and helpful in letting me pay little late. If you communicate and are pretty good with your payments theres no problems.

This is probably the worst financing companies ever. They are shady and unethical. My advice to people with bad credit is to find a different company to finance through or try and buy a cheap car while building your credit. If you are even a week late on your payment you get harassing and threatening calls until the payment is made. My first experience was when I called to let them know I would be a week late on my payment, I was told rudely that if I was any later than that they would reposses my vehicle. When you sign a loan agreement you are responsible to abide by the agreement and make payments on time, but life does happen. They are never willing to work with you and they do not accept partial payments at all. If you become late on your payments make sure you contact a lawyer because this company does not abide by state laws and you may be able to avoid repossesion and even have grounds for a counter claim if they try to sue you for deficiency fees. Know your rights and do your research. But the best thing to do is to avoid this company.

Never again...

If you think there are those out there who are more than willing to take advantage of the poor and uneducated, you are right and A-L Financial Corp (no matter where the location) is one of them, a subsidiary of CitiCorp.

They are unwilling to provide you with written payoff schedules (which is against the law. Yes you have rights too.), they practice unethical means of collections (such as lying, bullying, and relentless phone calls, exacerbated fees they claim you owe), and you will speak to so many different people who will all give you different answers (in my case different payoff amounts, different monthly late fee amounts) to your questions.

If you ever have the displeasure of dealing with these people make sure to do the following: pull your own amortization schedule (free on the internet), make sure you keep all your receipts and your original contract so they cannot tell you you owe more than you actually do. Go to the FTC web-site, review and understand your rights!

Someone needs to do something about this guys!
