5 Star Electronic Svc Inc

On August 17, 2011, we bought a Toshiba 55" television from 5 Star and also contracted with 5 Star to build an entertainment center into a niche in our family room. 5 Star was also supposed to hookup the TV and all ancillary equipment that went with the TV. They did that, although they did include a piece of equipment ( a LG 3D Blu Ray Player) not listed on the contract, and submitted it as part of the invoiced costs to us. When we questioned the costs Jason , one of the owners of 5 Star Electronics, agreed to take it off of the invoice, and agreed to install at no extra cost, any Blu Ray Player that we wanted. Since the Toshiba TV was not 3D, and we emphasized we did not like 3D nor LG products, the LG Blu Ray Player was not necessary nor acceptable. It is now Friday the 23rd of September and the built in entertainment center is stiil not complete. It still needs doors, shelves, retextured and repainted.



Think twice before contracting to buy anything from 5 Star Electronics. They were very nice prior to the completion of the sale but have been rude and evasive on telephone calls my wife has made to 5 Star about when the job was going to be completed. The previous owners of 5 Star Electronics were very customer service oriented and were a pleasure to deal with. Whoever answers the phones in the 5 Star showroom is neither customer service oriented or a pleasure to work with.

I have bought my last two TV's from this store. I find the personnel to be excellent and well informed. Marvin, the owner, goes the extra mile when it comes to customer service. They are competitive with Best Buy though not always as low as them they are close. Customer service is far superior from five star.
