if you are out of state buyer, don't even bother wasting your time. In fact i will save you the trouble with this review. Beware of the Sales Manager Mike Moore (248-741-7920) who was extremely rude & unprofessional. He became extremely adversarial with me while trying to buy a Porsche. I initially tried to obtain financing and even after I conveyed to him I could pay cash for the vehicle, he still expressed total dis-interest in working together on a sale in which he blatantly told me over the phone after I finally got him to pick up one of my several calls. I informed him of my dissatisfaction and he had no remorse and remarked that I was the only one that ever had a problem with him. I have been in the sales industry for 10 years and I can assure you this cannot be true as I would never treat my clients in this fashion even if we can't make a deal. This man really needs a crash course on how to deal with people. I normally don't leave bad reviews but was so upset after the whole experience and pulling credit just be treated this way. Stay far away, especially if you are dealing with the sales manager Mike Moore and are purchasing from out of state!

2 stories. 1. My parents boug...

2 stories.

1. My parents bought a new car here (a Forester). They asked for it in green they were told it's not made in green. They purchased a grey one only to discover their "new" car had 200 miles on it and had several scratches and spots that had been touched up. They tried to look past that but after a week of ownership the car would not start up on cold starts. When they brought it back to the dealership they had a nice new GREEN forester sitting there for sale. They are still working this out with the dealer.

2. Today i went and looked at a used Mazda that was priced at 2000 over the BB value.

I offered the Blue Book value. I was told "I have to check with my sales manager" so i knew what was coming. Sales Manager comes and says "so i heard you are interested in the mazda" and i reply yes at __ price out the door. He stands up and says "well i guess you arent interested" and basically throws us out and follows us out the door.

Here's a tip word to the sales manager at suburban imports of troy. How you say things matters. Word of mouth matters. You can bet that i will be telling everyone i know that the sales people there are useless and aggressive. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE EXTREMELY DISHONEST AND WILL DO WHATEVER THEY CAN TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU INCLUDING LYING TO YOUR FACE.

HORRIBLE! DO NOT FALL FOR THE ...

HORRIBLE! DO NOT FALL FOR THE "DEPOSIT" SCAM!!!

The staff was rude and liars. The scam is this: They will tell you "even if you have bad credit" they will "get you into the car of your dreams" ,

So you pick out a vehicle, take it for a test drive and then they tell you they need a deposit for the finance company, but won't have an answer on the terms until "tommorow",

Then next day they tell you you WERE NOT APPROVED but they can "still get you in a vehicle" and then they will try to shove you off into some Overpriced SUPER HIGH MILEAGE junk wreck that you are just not interested in.

When i told them that I wasn't interested anymore i just wanted my money back, they said it would have to be MAILED in a week or so!

I demanded my cash back, and finally someone came out and said I could have a check for my $500 deposit back even though i paid CASH. Begrudgingly I accepted but then Immediately went to THEIR BANK to cash it and was told that I couldn't cash it because THEY WOULD NOT VERIFY THAT THE FUNDS WERE GOOD yet!!!

They told the bank teller that they told me i couldn't cash it for 5 days!

THAT WAS A LIE, THEY NEVER SAID THAT. They illegally wrote me a bad check dated for same day, and I can't cash it yet?

I went back to the dealership pissed off and demanded my money back, and this fat piece of crap sleazy sales manager was being SUCH A JERK,

I had to threaten the police to get them to give me my money back ! DO NOT TRUST THESE CROOKS - EVER!@

Do NOT Make This Choice

Avoid this place at all costs. I purchased a Volvo S40 from them a little over 5 weeks ago, and it's clearly a piece of junk they sold for a fast buck. While it had 113k on it, and I purchased it for 5k$ total, I expected far greater reliability from a Volvo product, and far more candor from a used car lot that claims to stand for quality.

I originally was looking at a low miles '99 Passat they had on their web site. When I inquired about it, I was told by the salesman, Bob Hanlon, that this vehicle was gone. I told him I had exactly $5000, as my sister was loaning me the money to get a reliable car to get to school, and what did he have that was available at that price. He said he had a 2001 Volvo and 2002 Nissan Altima.

I came by and test drove 'em both, and emphasized how important reliability was to me. He talked jovially with me about this like he understood and sympathized with what I needed to find, deal wise. And went on and on about how reliable imports are in general, and Volvo's are specifically. Ha, ha, ha.

The blue book on this model IS about 5 grand, to be fair, but that's for one that doesn't burn oil like it 's part of it's fuel requirements. I've gone through 2 and 1/2 gallons of synthetic oil in the same 5 weeks, spend over a 100 bucks to do so, as the first time was at my local oil change store, who were stunned I was so low when I brought the car in. My tail pipe is BLACK, and blue smoke, (the tell of of an engine with valve and/or ring problems that cause it to burn oil) GEYSERS out of the dip stick hole when I run the engine. Clearly, it's FRIED.

The cost of a rebuilt engine that's any good is about $1500, so as I see it, they made that cash off of lying. The car was/is worth only about $3500 at best, as the engine is more or less shot. This car was sold as is, but if they hadn't cleaned the tail pipe and engine, (where the evidence of an oil burning engine are noticeable,) I NEVER would have bought it.

I won't even go into the fact that the a headlight wiper fell off on the drive home, or that the guy at the oil change place said that those wipers were't even connected to the electrical system. (Makes you wonder why, doesn't it?)

Throw in the fact that they NEVER offered me a CarFax report to look at, (despite having them available on the Passat and all their other publically listed vehicles,) and the salesman who started the sale not being present when the contract was signed and the money changed hands (his supervisor and brother (of all people) handled this,) and I think I have something pretty good for a local news Consumer Reporter (like say, 7 On Your Side) to look into, especially since said sales manager oversaw almost the entire closing process, and actually called me back for a signature, hand drawn on the contract BY HIM, for reasons, or legal stipulations unknown. Nothing fishy there, right?

The saddest part in all this? My sister has bought three new vehicles through them without incident, and I worked at their Farming\ton Hills pre-owned vehicle location as a porter almost ten years ago with no memory of the sales staff pulling these types of scams. We trusted them, and I guess they decided that since they knew how much I had to spend, they'd take my 5k, sell me their junker, and move on in search of bigger fish to fry. Thanks guys. Thanks a lot.

My one word review? Crap.

My advice: Avoid at ALL costs if you value your hard earned money.

As far as I'm concerned, warning people about these guys is my new hobby.
