Rev. James Howell officiated at the home going services for Ron Minor on 3/4/21 and in closing he made reference to "running for office" and that he would get a woman " a black woman" . I am sure he was aware of the only white woman present who was the deceased girlfriend who had been with Ron for over 15 years. I felt his personal comment was very offensive and inappropriate. Furthermore, he was not very professional or clear his his delivery. I would hope that you would review the videotape to see that he is clearly unable to conduct services without a prewritten script since he loses his thought processes. His message of love they neighbor went right out the window at that point. How dare he insult a grieving person with his personal views. Yes, I am a black woman and I felt very sorry for Ron friend who gave up her job to take care of her love one for over 2 years. I understand he is elderly and clearly out of touch. I would never want him to officiate another service of mixed races. M. Marable
