Elegance Hair Braiding

This was a very disappointing experience that resulted in both hair loss and braids that had to be taken out in less than 24 hrs after they were put in. I read the 2 reviews and decided to take a chance based on the precautions n the review. I called and indicated that I had read the reviews and wanted a professional experienced braided to do my hair. I made the appointment, arrived on time and waited about 45 minutes before they could take me. As the operator was preparing the hair for me I said that since my hair is not thick, I didn't want a mass of added hair just something consistent with my mane. I left at 9am at night as the last customer with enough hair to do 2 or 3 heads. The twist were disturbingly thick, the operator pull the entire front of my hair out and she spent the last hour and 1/2 on the phone while doing my hair. So in professional. I paid 150 us a 10 dollar tip (LESS THAN 10%) because I wasn't satisfied. It wasn't until I got home that I could see how bad it was. I pected some discomfort because after all they are braids and I expect them to be a little uncomfortable. However these braids were so heavy (measuring 20 inches in circumference when drawn together. It took a week before my scalp felt normal and the front edge of my hair is now ruined until it grows back. Some of the other stylist did a professional job. But the stylist I received even after expressing concern ruin my hair. Proceed with caution if you choose to use this place. By the way my hair is natural so I should not have experienced breakage normally associated with processed hair.

Unfortunately I don't know the name of the main stylist who did my hair, but i would not go back to get my braids at this shop. The two stylists (another girl helped the main stylist ) who did my hair were unprofessional as they talked away the entire time and weren't particularly skilled braiders plus i was overcharged.

In all fairness I randomly called the store for a last minute appointment so I probably just ended up with a braider that no one else wanted:(

The only positive thing about my visit is that i was done in 2hrs so clearly the braiders were quick.

This was my 1st time going to this shop ... The lady was on time for our appt. @9:30 am and i was out @ 1:30pm ... No stop for many breaks , No breaks @ all !

Will be back to this shop for there great service !
