I don't know what is going on here in the last couple of years, but I have had a PO Box for 20 years. Of course the hours are not convenient so I just have my packages just shipped somewhere else, no problem. We have not had a mailbox at our address in over 20 years. I do send small packages that can be put into my box, but this past weekend I had a note of a pick up. Now mind you I had received 4 other packages from the same company since November, not only did I have to sign for it, but had to show my ID. I know there is protocol, but there hasn't been any with the other ones. Anyway, I feel so frustrated, I found out that I have had mail returned to senders with no warning to me at all. It took about 4 months for me to realize and then I called the postmaster and ask him why I didn't get a yellow sticky note at some point to call them and get the address changed? He said he didn't know. I am not the only one, my son and wife have a box there too and are always getting someone else's mail. We just don't understand what has gone wrong with our post office in the last couple of years.
