Mandarin Villa

Love this restaurant! It is very obvious they take pride in their food and service they give to you. Even with young children that aren't exactly on their best behavior, they still treat you with respect and give excellent service. This to me is hard to come by and puts it at the top of my list at places to eat.

While their prices aren't the cheapest you'll find, their dishes are well worth it! I have had an assortment of dishes and soups and only 1 was different then I had expected from other restaurants. While good, their Hot and Sour Soup is made a little different then I am accustomed to. While not a big fan of Sizzling Rice Soup, I have to admit I'm hooked on it here and highly recommend it!

If you're looking for a place to go with the family, friends or just a date, you'll get plenty of food to enjoy with large servings and welcoming atmosphere! Also, don't forget to tip everyone! I don't know if it is uncommon there, but they always seem surprised and thankful/grateful whenever they realize we left a tip!

One thing I have to add though, is my husband. He is pretty picky with especially Chinese Restaurants, while the food has to be good, if the kitchen doesn't look organized and clean when peaking back there (yes, he does this!) then he will refuse to ever eat there again. Every time he has ever taken a peak they have been the cleanest he has ever seen!

The food and service here is comparable to the better restaurants in SF Chinatown. Everything I tasted was fresh and had lots of flavor. A good mixture of chicken and vegetables in my Kung Pao Chicken. Some places skimp on the meat and pile on the veggies. I went on a early weekday afternoon and it was crowded with a very friendly atmosphere.
