Its products include pointe,jazz and tap shoes, as well as camisoles, biketards and other body wear. The company s innovations include the split-sole shoe, the stretch-insert shoe, the Dansneaker and the Tapsneaker. Such entertainers as Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, Sammy Davis Jr., Yul Brynner and Bob Fosse have used the company's products. Capezio Ballet Makers also operates Capezio Ballet Makers Dance Foundation, which was established in 1953 and works to create greater awareness and appreciation for dance as an art form. Italian immigrant Salvatore Capezio founded Capezio Ballet Makers in 1887. It is headquartered in Totowa, N.J.
