Me and my father tried this place we were impressed when we walked in but when it came time to take out orders they were slow on everything the brisket was old and burnt the sausage tasted like they took dried sausage and rehydrated it. We could have came on a bad day but this should have never happen in a restaurant. And the floor was sticky.
Love love love this place! The amount of bacon you get on the BLT is crazy. Smoked pork BBQ is awesome. Good sweet tea. And very sweet owners/staff!
On Friday FEB 11th, myself and 15 co-workers went into Chucks to try to do a "Going Away" for another co-worker. I had called ahead to give them the headcount, let them know that it was a lunchtime event, and also let them know that most people would be ordering the catfish!! I was assured that they could handle the influx of customers and that they'd be able to service us. The ONLY thing that went well was the fact that they had our table ready when we got there! They were slow to take our drink orders and even slower to take our food orders! Then they serviced EVERYBODY else before they started to make our order even though we got there at 11:30! We had to be back to work by 1 so when our food started to be ready at 12:40, the waitress acted irritated because I told her to put it in to go boxes! We had wasted a full hour there and had only gotten our drinks!!!! So of course there were people who refused to pay for the food. Instead, some of my co-workers told them they could keep the food (since obviously our money wasn't valuable enough to them) and they went to Bush's Chicken to grab something to eat before heading back! The going away was just a COMPLETE disaster due to their bad service. You'd think that when they saw 16 people come in nicely dressed and in suits and ties that the service would be better considering their tip alone wouldve been great but oh well. There are now 16 people and their families who won't be spending money at their business anytime soon. There will also NEVER be another "Going Away" thrown there by us again! I recommend the same to all of you if you are ever on a time constraint.
I am sorry you had a poor experience. Before 2012 we had smaller fryers. It was difficult to keep the oil hot enough during catfish season and share the oil with fries, okra, and onion rings. I would like to sincerely apologize, we have built our reputation on great customer service and most reviews reflect that, but I cannot tell you how much it saddens me that you had a bad experience. Please accept our apology.
had great service and a very good waitress nice friendly smile ..best catfish in town..
I love Greens Sausage House in Zabcikville, where i grew up. Chucks is one of the best place i have ever gotten a BBQ sandwich. The had great specials and a pretty good menu. We used LOVED it. We were full before we were finished and were full all day, for the two of us me and my husband Javier it was only 13 dollars and I love it when for is Wonderful and CHEAP.
