Desert City Swing

Paragon Dance Center is a great place to dance. Friday nights are great with Lonnie Mitchell's group class. Every week, he teaches a different dance with social dancing until Midnight. I also love Tuesday's with Robert Campos West Coast Swing lesson. I think there is a group class every evening, but you can check the class calendar on their website. During the group classes you rotate partners, so that by the end of the class, you have danced briefly with everyone. What is soooo fun, is that during the social dance, everyone dances with everyone. It's a great way to meet new people. You do not have to bring a partner, and you just show up on the night you want to dance. No expensive contracts!! The facility is great. Awesome dance floor and new sound system. I have also attended a wedding....very nice!!

The first time I walked into Paragon Dance Center to take a group dance lesson, I was terrified. I didn't know anybody, I didn't have much dance experience, and no partner to dance with. I was warmly welcomed by the instructor, Robert Campos, got through the lesson, which was followed by a social dance. Again, I didn't know anybody, but most of the men asked me to dance, even though I was just a beginner. They all made me feel welcome. Two years later, I go to a group class 2-3 nights a week. It is a blast!! I have met so many wonderful people, enjoy my dancing, and I get a great work out (without even trying). The group classes are reasonably priced at only $7 - $12 per class, which includes social dancing after. You can't beat the value for a night of entertainment, social gathering, exercise, and dance lesson. I'm glad I had the guts to walk in the door that first night.

Paragon Dance Center also has a kids dance program that includes Hip Hop, Modern, Lyrical, and Jazz. I think this is the best studio in the Greater Phoenix area. I've also attended a wedding at Paragon Dance Center. Great wedding venue, beautifully decorated.
