I will always recommend Alexander County Veterinary.
We as a family have been taking our animals and to ACV since we moved to the area the mid 90s. After I grew up and started a family of my own that did not change. I did try other more popular modern offices, but they were cold, impersonal and the doctors treated us like a work burden instead of welcomed and appreciated patients.
The atmosphere at Alexander County Veterinary is warm, rustic and welcoming. The walls are lined with waterfoul that my Gus loves to "hunt". There is always a nice tabby cat nestled atop the filing cabinet behind the front desk along with a border collie following the doctor around the back room. Although some may view the office as dated I personally appreciate the timeless, cozy, home-like feel that radiates through those waterfoul lined walls.
Dr. Hannah and her staff are always friendly and welcoming whilst remaining professional. I can see that they deeply care for the well-being of my animals. They are well-educated on all subjects of veterinary medicine from what I have seen and are very well-spoken and informative.
In my opinion they deserve 5 stars.

You can't get better service and care anywhere as far as I'm concerned . They made me feel so comfortable and relaxed in dealing with one of the hardest decisions I have had to make ; Euthanasia . Their heartfelt support and sympathy is real . They really care. The way they handled Buddy in his final hour was as if they were taking care of our son , which is how we felt about Buddy. The cremation and hand crafted Urn created by Andy and Kathy was trully a one of a kind work of art . My thanks to Andy and Kathy Hendrick for their work and for showing me that there is a Rainbow Bridge where Buddy is waiting for me . Their staff makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk in ,

Great compassionate vet. I love him, my doggies, while not actually enjoying vet visits , are treated with kindness, compassion and knowledge, as am I.

Have taken my precious doggies there several times. the entire practice was knowledgable,caring,compassionate. I am a ticky dog mama. I can be hard to please, but no trouble here. they are awesome

Never,ever take your pet there or even call them for that matter. Doesnt matter what kind of emergency you have because the Dr doesnt care! If you were to even get a call back the dr would be rude and careless. Too many pets (which couldve been saved) have died due to his carelessness. If you were to have an emergency and absolutely had to go there after hours the dr will either show up intoxicated & do nothing to save your loved one or he just wont show up at all. Bottom line is they shouldnt even be allowed to still have a license to practice!
